Fayetteville children’s band Candy Songs and her Backyard Bugs will play the next installment of Fam Jam at the Jones Center next month.

The band is a project by local songwriter Candy Lee, known as Candy Songs on her YouTube channel featuring her catchy, educational songs for children created to reinforce “healthy social skills, emotional intelligence and positive outcomes for kids.”

They also dress as bugs when they perform, which is always a hit with the kids.

In addition to the music, Fam Jam events at the Jones Center include movement and activities, all for the $5 ticket price. The March event includes access to ice skating from 12:30-2:30 p.m. or 7-9 p.m., indoor swimming form noon until 6 p.m., the Candy Songs concert at 2 p.m., and family craft time following the show.

Tickets to the event are available at thejonescenter.net/famjam or in person at the welcome desk.
