It’s Thursday, which if you ask us, is pretty much the perfect day to have a little talk about what kind of shenanigans we might get ourselves into over the next few days. Here’s what we know about what’s happening in and around Fayetteville this weekend.
George’s will kick their weekend off with a performance by local legends, Earl & Them. The late night show is a dance party featuring Minnesota and Abelation, and on Saturday, there’s bluegrass with local heroes Arkansauce who are back in town for a show along with Still House Junkies.
Also in tunes this weekend, there’s a rock show at Smoke & Barrel on Friday night with Burned Up Bled Dry, TV Preacher, and Chronowizard.
If you missed the Minnesota show at George’s on Friday night, or if you are just looking for a chance to keep those vibes going, you could check out Oh Losha, Taiga, XOLO and OG Mack at West & Watson on Saturday night.
There’s a new music festival making its debut in Fayetteville this weekend as well. The first ever Fayetteville Pop Festival is set for Sunday at George’s, and includes a full day of music, food, yoga, and more featuring headliners Yuni Wa, White Mansion, The Phlegms, Monk is King, Ben Del Shreve, and more. Here’s the stage schedule for the event.
Also in shenanigans, several Dickson Street businesses will participate in a St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl on Saturday night. It’s $25 to participate, and comes with a t-shirt. Here’s more info.
There’s a maker’s market called the Big Gay Market happening at Fayetteville Town Center on Saturday. It’s their spring event, and will take place from 12-6 p.m.
If you feel like a show, and also a little music to go with it, TheatreSquared’s latest show Cambodian Rock Band includes all of the above. Here’s this weekend’s schedule and ticket info.
In sports, the Razorback baseball team will host their SEC opening series this weekend, as the Hogs take on Missouri Friday-Sunday.
The Gymbacks are also back in action this weekend, as they take on Nebraska at Bud Walton Arena on Friday night.
Also, Sunday is St. Patrick’s Day. We know of a couple celebrations at local breweries, including a Dry Irish Stout release party at Fayetteville Beer Co including food, kid activities, and more, and Crisis Brewing’s annual St. Patrick’s Day party featuring Irish music, dancers, and more.
