The No. 1 Arkansas Razorbacks ran their home winning streak to 18 games Tuesday night by posting a 13-0 run-rule victory over Arkansas State in seven innings at Baum-Walker Stadium.
The game amounted to a competitive practice for the Hogs (24-3, 8-1 SEC), who used seven pitchers to hold the Red Wolves (16-15) to just one hit.
The Hogs had 12 hits and 10 RBI in the contest, spearheaded by Nolan Souza’s 458-foot grand slam in the Razorbacks’ nine-run third inning.
Arkansas will be back in action Thursday through Saturday at Baum-Walker for a three-game series with the Ole Miss Rebels (18-12, 3-6).
The Razorbacks have just two more home SEC series after this week’s with the Rebels. The Hogs play host to Florida April 26-28 and Mississippi State May 10-12.
The Hogs head to Alabama April 12-14, to South Carolina April 19-21, to Kentucky May 3-5, and to Texas A&M May 16-18.
