North College Avenue was briefly closed Tuesday after a car crash sent a vehicle off the road and into a restaurant.

The crash happened at around 4 p.m. when a vehicle turning south onto College Avenue from Harold Street struct a southbound vehicle.

One of the impacted vehicles left the roadway and plowed into the drive-thru area of Flying Burrito at 3200 N. College Ave.

An employee of the business who was pinned against the vehicle was extricated by a Fire Department crew and transported to a local hospital. Both the employee and the driver of the vehicle sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to reports.

A representative of Flying Burrito said the restaurant would be closed for the remainder of the day, and that an update would be posted to the company’s social media about when the restaurant would reopen.
