The Jones Center will host a series of fun outdoor events on their campus this summer.
The center’s annual ‘Summer in the City’ series kicks off with the Obstacle Runaround obstacle course race on June 15, followed by their Splash Bash water event July 13, and their Community Campout camping event Sept. 6.
Descriptions and details for all three events are below.
Registration for the Obstacle Runaround is $35 per team. The Splash Bash is free to attend, and the Community Campout is $50 per campsite. Members of the Jones Center get 20% off admission to the Summer in the City series events.

Obstacle Runaround, June 15, 10-11:30am
Teams of two: kids (3-12) + adults (18+)
Kids and adults team up for series of challenges designed to grow endurance, strength and agility. The Obstacle Runaround is a much-loved obstacle race that grown-ups and kids conquer together. Teams of two navigate 10+ obstacles on the course, including a mud pit, a tire run, the noodle forest and more. The team who has the most fun wins!

Splash Bash, July 13, 10am to 2pm
All ages
Free
Beat the heat with outdoor water-fun and activities at our free Splash Bash community block party! At Splash Bash, all ages can have fun in the sun while staying cool with water balloons, a dunk tank, inflatables, a Capture the Flag competition, a giant slip-n-slide, music, dancing and more. Bring your swimsuit and join the fun! Registration coming soon.
Community Campout, 6pm, Sept. 6 – 10am, Sept. 7
All ages (Under 18 must be accompanied by an adult)
Round up the family for an overnight adventure at our 2nd annual Community Campout. It’s the perfect introduction to camping for those with little to no experience. Learn how to set up tents and make yourself at home at our community campsite on the Jones Center campus. We’ll provide the camping equipment, and our staff will be on hand to make the experience fun and easy. Your evening under the stars will include campfire cooking, s’mores, stories around the campfire, outdoor games, live music and more. Community Campout is a salute to nature, exploration and shared time lingering around the campfire. Whether you love to camp or want to learn more – you’ll find it here! Registration coming soon.
