The Center Street surface parking lot will be closed on Monday, June 10, and Tuesday, June 11 for treatment maintenance, city officials announced in a press release Tuesday.
If all goes well and there is no inclement weather, the lot will reopen on Wednesday, June 12.
he alleyway between the lot and the businesses on N. Block Ave. will remain open during the maintenance, officials said.
The city maintains 10 public parking lots in the downtown Business and Dickson Street Entertainment districts. These lots undergo periodic maintenance such as crack sealing, sealing coating, restriping, patching, and bumper block replacements.
Parking Manager Justin Clay said Monday’s work will focusa on resurfacing the lot, and workers will restripe on Tuesday.
