If you are considering adding a new pet to your family, Super Adoption, at the Best Friends Animal Society’s Pet Resource Center in Bentonville, is the place to be this weekend!
Super Adoption is a Best Friends flagship event. It has been held in New York City, Los Angeles, and Salt Lake City, and now it makes its debut in NW Arkansas!
This super-sized adoption event brings together 34 regional animal shelter and rescue organizations in one place for an extravaganza of adoption and lifesaving, featuring some 500 adoptable dogs and cats over two days. Hours daily are from 11 am to 4 pm at 1312 Melissa Drive in Bentonville.
In addition to hundreds of adoptable pets, visitors will enjoy sponsor and vendor booths, demonstrations, giveaways, “ask the trainer,” and food trucks. The indoor-outdoor event is family and pet friendly. Admission is free. Each participating organization sets its own adoption fees and requirements. Best Friends is a national organization dedicated to bringing about a time when there are no homeless pets. The organization has set a goal of stopping the unnecessary killing of pets in our nation’s shelters in 2025. Their beautiful Pet Resource Center in Bentonville opened in March of 2023.
