The city will offer free music, art and more as part of their Weekend Starts series of events this weekend.

The series, organized through a partnership with the University of Arkansas Department of Music, will include a lineup of local musicians from jazz trios, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music, Ozark ballads, classical ensembles, rock songs, medieval music and more on Friday nights through October.

This weekend’s event, set for Friday, June 28 , will include music by local duo Xeny Way and William Reyes playing acoustic guitar jazz, and a clay workshop focused on making wind chimes with artist Randi Sparks.

The series takes place outdoors on the trail in the new Lower Ramble area, located just to the west of Fayetteville Public Library. Nearby parking is available at the library.

Weekend Starts will take place from 5-7 p.m. each week.

The series is free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. The events may be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
