Ugh. The Razorbacks had an 8 point lead at halftime, and a ten point lead in the second half, but did not score a field goal for the last 6:33 of the game, and lost at Auburn 75-62.
Rotnei Clark and Stefan Welsh led the Razorbacks with 14 points each, and Courtney Fortson had 11 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals.
This is the second straight game that the Hogs have jumped out to an early double digit lead, only to lose it in the second half. The Hogs led Mississippi State by 15 points at halftime before losing.
As sg pointed out earlier in the week, the changes of the Hogs making the postseason are pretty slim, and the promise that we showed early in the year has disappeared faster than you can say “woo.”
There is a lot to look forward to with our young team in the years ahead, it’s just hard to keep looking forward. As we seem to say a lot here in Arkansas, we’ll be better next year.
