Weekend: Feb 20, 21, 22

Holy ballseye. Man, weeks suck.

First, you have to get up early (gross), take a shower (eww), put on clothes (stupid), and go to work (vomit). Then, you have to work all day (sicko), talk to co-workers (freaks), deal with bosses (jerks), and drive home in crappy traffic (yonky?). Yonky.

Don’t freak out though. It’s almost over, and you don’t have to do most of those things for at least two days. Awesome.

Tonight, JJ Grey and Mofro headline at George’s, with Kory Montgomery playing inside after Ultra Suede and Leah & the Mojo Doctors do their thing at Happy Hour.

Froggy’s has a rock party with Well Well Well, Queen City Saints, and Family Dogs.

ROTC has a show tonight as well, and you can check out Army of Birds on the patio.

Tomorrow, Mardi Gras festivities begin in Fayetteville, starting with the “Parade of Fools” on Dickson Street at 3:00.

Saturday night, Froggy’s has a big show with Benjamin Del Shreve, Jesus Chrysler Supercar, Kilroy, Fear is a Driving Force, and Monster.

George’s has the Feed Just One Benefit with Jarris, Will Gunselman, Hot Shot Karate. Proceeds from the show will go to to fight hunger world wide with the organization Feed Just One.

The Commoners will be hip-hopping the hell out of everyone at Teatro Scarpino so you can dance it up over there if you want. DJ’s Luminfire and Tanner Beam will be providing some beats, and the first 200 through the door tonight will get a Commoners CD with their admission.

Also on Saturday, Tiffany Christopher is at Smoke and Barrel.
