Now that we know which bands will be playing at Wakarusa this year, it’s time to start narrowing down who we’ll actually get to see.
Why? Because with only four days to take in 100 bands, there’s going to be overlap. And for some, that means missing a few favorites.
The 2011 stage schedule is now available and so far, we’ve noticed a few tough decisions we’ll have to make.
Fayetteville Lucero fans might note that hometown heroes Where’s Lawrence? are scheduled at the same time on Friday. It’s not a total double-booking, as there’s a 15-minute difference. Of course, it take a few minutes to walk from the Main Stage to the Backwoods Stage, so good luck there. Lucero plays again Friday night over at the Revival Tent, but it’s at the same time as Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, so that’s a tough one.
Another tricky pick is deciding between Grace Potter & the Nocturnals and Minus the Bear on Thursday night. Yikes.
Galactic fans wanting to see headliners My Morning Jacket need not worry. Galactic plays twice – once on the Main Stage and once in the Revival Tent.
Those are just our observations. See any dilemmas of your own?
