News Briefs

Bentonville Bomb Squad members

Police are searching for a man they believe may have held a 73-year-old woman and her husband hostage before forcing her to rob a Fayetteville Arvest Bank branch by attaching a device to her ankle that resembled a bomb. Don’t be surprised if this story goes national.

The Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission is one step closer to being the newest tenant in one of the city’s oldest buildings. Commission members unanimously agreed to execute a lease for the old post office on the square.

The folks from Art Amiss are preparing to release another local music compilation, and this time, the Northwest Arkansas metal scene will get some much deserved attention.

After weighing his NFL-options over the last few months, it appears as though Arkansas running back Knile Davis will return to Arkansas for at least one more year.

Here’s what’s new from our sponsors this week.
