The 10th annual Art in the Park event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Wilson Park in Fayetteville.
Area artists will display work on the northeast side of the park. Drawings and paintings will be available for browsing or purchasing. Kids can enjoy a planned children’s art activity tent.
Also set for Saturday is the annual Puppets in the Park festival, that includes puppetry, folk music, art and crafts on the southwest side of the park.
Free hot dogs will be served to the first 100 attendees, beginning at 11 a.m. on the west side of the Wilson Park Rockhouse, and food vendors will be on site near the Wilson Playground throughout the day.
Saturday’s events are sponsored by the City of Fayetteville, the Artists of Northwest Arkansas, and the Art Experience, Inc.
In the event of rain, Puppets in the Park will move to Washington Elementary School, but the art displays will be rescheduled from 1-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6 at Wilson Park.
