Mayor names input group members to discuss implementing new civil rights ordinance
The group include representatives of the LGBT, disabled, and ethnic minority communities; business leaders; area employers; members from the local real estate industry; civil rights lawyers; faith leaders; and city representatives.
Will Johnson to perform intimate show at East Hall Recording Sept. 5
Centromatic frontman Will Johnson is doing a tour of living rooms around the country this month, and he’ll make a stop in Fayetteville on Friday, Sept. 5.
University of Arkansas enrollment tops 26,000 in 2014
Preliminary figures show 26,301 students enrolled this year, a 3.8 percent increase over last year’s mark of 25,341.

Fayetteville Ale Trail anniversary events scheduled
The ale trail will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a series of events and giveaways Sept. 15-18.
Fayetteville to form input panel for implementing new anti-discrimination ordinance
The panel’s specific membership hasn’t been announced, but will be complete in time for the group’s first public meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4.
