One of Broadway’s most enduring shows is coming to Fayetteville this week.
Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, the musical by theatre icons Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber, will be playing at Walton Arts Center beginning Tuesday, March 10 and running through Sunday.
The show, a retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colors, was originally developed as a 15 minute cantata in the 1960s, and then a concept album, before becoming becoming a Broadway sensation in the 1980s.
The classic musical includes unforgettable songs including “Those Canaan Days,” “Any Dream Will Do” and “Close Every Door.”
Performances are scheduled at 7 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Tickets range from $36-78, and are on sale at waltonartscenter.org.
