Do you know where your food comes from? If you don’t, local grocery co-op Ozark Natural Foods wants to show you.
Store officials recently announced the lineup for their second annual Tour De Farms event, a free, self-guided tour of 22 local farms, coffee shops, and breweries that sell products at the co-op.
The tour, set for Oct. 3-4, is set up this year in manageable blocks organized by proximity, so for example you can choose the “Team Fayetteville” tour on Oct. 3 and visit White River Cremery, Roots in Bloom, and Ozark Pasture Beef along with Fossil Cove Brewery.
Other blocks include the Team Springdale Tour, the Team River Valley Tour, the Team Huntsville Tour, and the Team Eureka Tour.
Participants can pick up a passport the week of the event, which will include a map of the tour stops and an area to collect stamps from the places you visit. Upon completion of the tour, you can return your passport to the co-op, where folks who visit 9 or more places will be entered to win a $50 gift card. Whoever visits the most farms will win a farm and gardening kit vaulted at $150.
