If you’re thirsty on Friday night, you could head down to local brewery Fossil Cove. They’ll be celebrating the release of a new seasonal, their Orange Cream. There will be music by Foggy Bobcat, tacos, pedal pops, and more. Here’s more info.

Saturday, Sept. 1

It’s game week, y’all. Arkansas will open their season, and the Chad Morris era of Razorback football will begin at 3 p.m. when the Hogs take on Eastern Illinois.

There’s plenty of music Saturday night as well. Three lady songwriters – Sarah Loethen, Meredith Kimbrough, and Nichole Wagner – will play a songwriters-in-the-round-style show at Stage 18.

Local band Goose is back at George’s on Saturday, and Dallas jazz supergroup The Funky Knuckle’s will perform at Smoke & Barrel Tavern.
