This is one of those weekends that has a little bit of everything.

There’s theatre, like Theatresquared’s Every Brilliant Thing that folks have been raving about for a few weeks playing at Nadine Baum. And University Theatre is performing the Shakespeare play Macbeth this weekend as well at UA Global Campus.

There’s comedy, with comedian Kevin Bozeman at the UA’s Union Theatre. Bozeman was a semi-finalist on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” in 2015, and has appeared on Comedy Central, NBC, CBS and Fox.

There’s a ton of music this weekend too, with locals 1oz Jig making booties shake at Smoke & Barrel Friday night, locals Goose playing George’s, and a three band bill at Nomad’s with Lawrence Jamal, Anthony Ball Allstars, and Merkey.

Saturday, Feb. 2

Get thirsty, everyone. Frost Fest returns to Fayetteville on Saturday near the Washington County Fairgrounds. The annual winter beer festival organized by the folks at Fossil Cove brewery begins at 3 p.m., but “beer enthusiasts” that purchased VIP tickets can get in at 2 p.m. The event includes live music by Monk Is King, Vintage Pistol and Groovement. There’s lots of music on Saturday as well. George’s has a country show with Sam Riggs and Bryce Dicus & The Mercenaries.

Joplin rockers Me Like Bees are back in town for a rock show at Smoke & Barrel with locals, Foggy Bobcat, and local songwriter Randall Shreve will perform a solo set at new venue, West & Watson.
