A local restaurant chain kicked off a coat drive in Fayetteville this week.
Foghorn’s Wings announced plans to collect new and gently used coats at all six of their locations. The coats will be distributed to the communities where they are collected.
The restaurant will offer $10 in bonus bucks to be redeemed for food and drink purchases at the restaurant for each coat donated during the drive.
The drive will be active from Dec. 1 through Dec. 25. Coats collected in Fayetteville and Springdale will be distributed by Nate Walls, owner of Second Hand Smoke barbecue company who established a non-profit called 2nd Helping to help feed folks in need during the pandemic, and Peace at Home Family Shelter, Foghorn’s owner Jeff Hodges told us. In Conway, Siloam, and Rogers, Hodges said he is in the process of identifying specific nonprofits with the greatest need in those communities.
Foghorn’s Fayetteville locations are at 1815 Green Acres Road and 1545 W. 15th Street, Suite 1. A full list of their locations is available here.
