Happy Friday, everyone. Here’s a very long list of things you could do this weekend. We don’t know about should to be honest. But you could.
Fayetteville Roots Festival is happening up at Pratt Place Inn & Barn this weekend. The Friday night lineup includes performances by North Carolina duo Watchhouse (formerly known as Mandolin Orange), Madison Cunningham, and poet/songwriter Allison Russell, and on Saturday Capitol Sun Rays, Grammy nominated Mardi Gras Indian funk band Cha Wa, songwriter Ray Wylie Hubbard, and old-time multi-instrumentalist Dom Flemons will take the stage. Tickets are all sold out for this one.
How about some funnel cakes and Tilt-a-whirls? The Washington County Fair is in town this weekend as well. Here’s more on that.
Also this weekend is the SOAR NWA hot air balloon festival we told you about not too long ago. Here’s more info about that.
It’s the last weekend for TheatreSquared’s American Mariachi, the musical that will conclude its run on Sunday. After that, T2 will be getting ready for Designing Women, which I know a lot of folks are excited about. Here’s ticket info.
Music-wise, there are a couple big shows at the AMP this weekend with Luke Bryan on Friday night and Trippie Redd on Sunday. The AMP will also host comedian Jim Gaffigan on Saturday.
George’s has Earl & Them for happy hour, followed by Pecos & The Rooftops and Huser Brother Band on Friday night. The venue will host Randall Shreve on Saturday.
The annual Joe Martin Stage Race is in town this weekend as well. The best part to try and watch is probably the Crit Races on Sunday, but there are some other things you could check out. Here’s our guide on how to watch this year.
