If you’ve never experienced the power, beauty, or touching absurdity of live performance art, then the INVERSE Performance Art Festival is your chance to discover a whole new world of art and expression.
Held at the Momentary, a former cheese factory-turned-creative-hub in downtown Bentonville, INVERSE will take place Thursday, November 2 through Sunday, November 5, and will feature live performances from more than 14 artists from around the country in an event unlike any other in Arkansas.
Using their surroundings, their own bodies, and the immersive qualities of live performance the way a painter uses a brush, each artist’s work will offer new ideas and perspectives on current issues and the ways we experience the world. Almost like a live version of cinema, performance art uses the interactions between audience and artist to create new viewpoints, express vital ideas, provoke emotional reactions, and utilize all five senses to create evocative, thought-provoking, and occasionally hilarious art. It’s something that has to be experienced in-person—and INVERSE 2023 is your chance to do just that.
Four-day festival passes are on-sale now, and are available online and through the Momentary’s Box Office. Each pass includes drop-in admission for all four days of the festival, registration for any performances with limited seating, and a complimentary INVERSE 2023 tote bag. Discounts are available for students, teachers, and Momentary members.
