Put on your sequined overalls (everyone has those) and your shiny boots, everyone. It’s New Year’s Eve weekend in Fayetteville.
The big night falls on a Sunday this year, and we pulled together a big list of all the NYE-related events we could find in Fayetteville earlier this week. There are fun things to do all weekend in Fayetteville, however.
On Thursday night, local rockers Protohive will celebrate the release of their new album The Hive Mind at George’s Majestic Lounge. The new record is being pressed on vinyl, and will also hit streaming services tomorrow. Excellent locals Modeling, Mildenhall, and the Phlegms are also on the bill.
There’s more music on Friday night. Locals Isayah’s All Stars will kick things off with a happy hour performance at George’s. Later on, the Freddy Mercury Tribute featuring local singer Randall Shreve will play the late night show.
Also on Friday night, there’s another rock show at Nomad’s Trailside with Frailstate and Salon Blonde.
How about some hoops? The Razorback men’s basketball team is back in Bud Walton Arena on Saturday for their final non-conference game of the year taking on UNC Willmington. It’s a 4 p.m. tip.
Saturday night is the first in a two-night stand featuring local bluegrass heroes Arkansauce at George’s. They’ll perform with Opal Agafia on Saturday night, and Feed the Dog will open the Sunday night show on New Year’s Eve.
There’s more on New Year’s Eve below, and you can also find additional options on our annual list of ways to ring in the New Year here.
There’s plenty more below. Have a great weekend, and Happy New Year, everyone.
