New York-based asset manager Blackstone on Wednesday announced plans to invest in Fayetteville-based 7 Brew Coffee as part of a plan to help the drive-thru beverage company rapidly expand across the U.S.

The partnership aims to leverage Blackstone’s resources and experience in franchising, operations, and real estate to support 7 Brew’s growth through its franchise partners.

A company spokesperson on Wednesday said immediate expansion plans include new locations in Virginia, Ohio, Tennessee, Louisiana, Florida, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed in a news release from Blackstone. The transaction also involved Jimmy John’s Sandwiches founder Jimmy John Liautaud, according to the release.

“We are on a strong growth trajectory thanks to our outstanding team, the Brew Crew, and are so excited to have found in Blackstone a true partner who understands our culture and whose global reach and incredible resources will enable us to reach this next stage of growth,” said 7 Brew CEO John Davidson.

7 Brew first opened as a single coffee shop in Rogers in 2017. The company, now headquartered in downtown Fayetteville, has since grown to include 190 locations across 26 states, and was recently named as QSR Magazine’s Breakout Brand of 2023.
