A restaurant offering rice bowls and noodle dishes in south Fayetteville for almost a decade will close its doors this weekend.

According to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page this week, Ginger Rice & Noodle Bar is set to close soon.

The restaurant, located at 1163 M.L.K. Jr Blvd., is owned by the same family that operates Shogun in Fayetteville and Bentonville, and Wasabi on Dickson Street.

From the announcement:

Ten years ago, the Shogun family decided to venture out, on a new concept in South Fayetteville. We faced a lot of challenges during our decade and we have learned a lot. We are sorry to announce our closure. This has been an incredible journey that we loved and appreciated.

Ginger Rice & Noodle Bar opened in the summer of 2014. The restaurant focused on traditional Japanese ramen and Korean mixed rice bowls.

The owners are looking at opportunities to bring the restaurant back, potentially in another location in the region, they said. They also hinted at the possibility of opening “another concept” in the future.

The last day of service at Ginger Rice and Noodle Bar is set for Sunday, Feb. 25, according to the announcement.
