Trail work to close greenway near Lake Fayetteville for 3 weeks

(City of Fayetteville)

A section of the Razorback Greenway just south of the Lake Fayetteville spillway bridge will be closed and detoured for three weeks.

Crews are scheduled to begin replacing a 150-foot-long section of cracked concrete on the trail beginning Tuesday, March 5, according to a news release.

The work will require rerouting the greenway through Veterans Park and south along Vantage Drive to Mud Creek Trail. From there, the detour will run west to rejoin the greenway near the intersection of Gregg Avenue and Van Asche Drive.

Detour signs will be installed to direct trail traffic and provide warning of adjacent work areas, according to the release.

Trail users are asked to observe the detour and other signs on trails and provide adequate distance between themselves and construction work.
