Laser light show, silent disco event to return to Lower Ramble next month

A new event featuring a laser light show and a “silent disco” that debuted last year will return to the Lower Ramble next month.

The event, called Phantasma in the Ramble, will take place to kick off the city’s Weekend Starts series of programming in the Ramble the weekend of April 19-20.

The event is described as a “multi-sensory dance party,” with local DJ’s set up along the trail broadcasting music on different that can be accessed through headphones provided by the organizers.Dancing is encouraged. In addition to the music, there will be a light show set up in the forest along the trail.

The event is being produced by the City of Fayetteville’s  Parks, Natural Resources and Cultural Affairs Department in partnership with the Downtown Fayetteville Coalition.

Participants are encouraged to sign up for a one-hour time slot between 7 and 10 p.m. to visit the installation via the Eventbrite page here.

The event is free to attend and open to the public. Parking is available nearby at the Fayetteville Public Library.

A second Phantasma event to close the Weekend Starts season is also set for for Oct. 25-26.
