Fayetteville is saying goodbye to a building that has been home to rehearsal spaces, artist studios, DIY venues, and more for decades this weekend. The Quonset hut buildings on Center Street are set to be demolished soon to make room for a student housing development, and a two-day party is happening at AM/PM bar and other spaces inside and outside of the building. The event, called Goodbye Alley, kicks off on Friday night with performances by Dylan Earl, Devin Champlin, Kelly Hunt, Desiree Cannon, and Jude Brothers. The second day on Saturday will include a full day of performances beginning at 11 a.m., headlined by local bands Jess Harp, Gardensnakes, and The Phlegms. It will also include a vendor fair, food, drinks, and more. More details about the celebration are here.
