A musical based on the 2001 film Shrek is coming to Fayetteville this spring.
The show, called Shrek: The Musical will pre performed at jWalton Arts Center as part of the venue’s annual Artosphere Festival at 7 p.m. on May 28 and 29.

The second performance on May 29 was added today after the original show on May 28 was nearly sold out.
The show is based on the Dreamworks animated film featuring a lovable (if a little crude) ogre and his adventures taking on a host of fairy-tale tropes.
In addition to the show, Artosphere will also feature a host of other programing, including concerts on the trails, performances by Artosphere Festival Orchestra, and more.
Tickets to the show range from $40-$70, and are on sale now at waltonartscenter.org.
