First Thursday Fayetteville to return May 2

First Thursday Fayetteville

The weather is getting warmer. The trees are getting greener. The tulips are showing off around the square.

Around here, that means it’s almost time for First Thursday Fayetteville, the series of outdoor festivals on the downtown square.

Experience Fayetteville, who organizes the event, this week announced the series is set to kick off on Thursday, May 2.

The first event of the season will have an “Elemental” theme, with different ways to explore the elements of fire, earth, water, and air, officials said. The May event will include music by Shannon Wurst, March to August, and 1 oz Jig, along with a slow role bike ride, a mobile aquarium, aerial and fire artists from Ozark Cirque, a puppet parade, and more.

Themes for future events are listed below.

First Thursday Fayetteville is free to attend and open to the public.
