Adventure Subaru this week donated more than $150,000 in total to two local nonprofits.

The Fayetteville-based dealership, along with Subaru of America, presented checks of $75,000 and $81,500 to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma and Single Parent Scholarship Fund of NWA at check presentation events held earlier this week at Adventure Subaru’s store location at 2269 N. Henbest Drive in Fayetteville.

The donations were raised are part of Subaru’s annual “Share the Love” event, an initiative which lets each customer who purchases or leases a new Subaru decide which of four national charities would receive a $250 donation from the company between Nov. 16, 2023, and Jan. 2, 2024. Adventure Subaru also matched the $250 donation from Subaru of America.

The donation to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund will help single parents create futures for their families by providing direct financial assistance, as well as supportive services for those pursuing higher education living in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties. The donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkoma will continue to provide a home away from home to families whose children are receiving medical treatment.

“The Subaru Share the Love Event is a testament to the importance of supporting local charities that matter to our community, and our retailers have been a pillar in their communities by giving back to Hometown Charities for many years,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc. “We thank our charity partners for their incredible work to support the causes that matter to the communities where we live and work.”

Since its inception, the Share the Love program has resulted in over $288 million donated to local and national charities.
