The AMP returns this week with a couple of concerts this weekend. The venue will host Hozier and Allison Russell to kick off the 2024 season on Friday night, followed by a country show on Saturday with Riley Green, Tracy Lawrence, and Ella Langley. If any tickets remain to this weekend’s shows, here’s where to get them.
JJ’s Live also has a big weekend of shows lined up over the next few days. They’ll host Treaty Oak Revival on Friday night, followed by the return of Flatland Cavalry on Saturday, and Palace comes to town on Sunday. Details and ticket info for JJ’s Live shows can be found here.
George’s will kick off their weekend with an On the Map show featuring Metz, Gouge Away, and Peach Blush on Thursday night. On Friday, local rockers Thanks for Nothing will kick things off for happy hour with King Chicken. On Saturday, 90s tribute The Mixtapes will perform.
There’s a music and art festival happening on Mount Sequoyah this weekend. The second ever Ammplify Festival will take place on April 27-28, with a doom/sludge/emo show on Saturday night featuring Obliviate, The Salesman, Always Tired, Mud Lung, Chrono Wizard and Pyrocratic and food and drink by Flyway Brewing. On Sunday, local artist Dea Self is curating an art show and sale featuring several local artists, along with brunch food and beverages by Fossil Cove. Here’s more info.
In other performances, you could check out a new theatrical production called North at Walton Arts Center on Sunday. TheatreSquared has two shows to check out at the moment as well, with Laughs in Spanish and Fat Ham now playing.
In sports, the No. 2 ranked Razorback baseball team is in town for a home series versus the Florida Gators Friday-Sunday.
If you feel like going on a pub crawl with your dog, there’s a rare chance to do just that in Fayetteville as well with Fayetteville Animal Services annual Dickson Street Pup Crawl happening this weekend at several local watering holes.
More than 250 local artists, crafters, and makers will convene for the annual spring NWA Makers Market at Washington County Fairgrounds on Sunday. It’s $5 admission this year, but kids 16 and under get in free. Here’s more.
There’s a free show at Ozark Natural Foods on Saturday, with March to August performing as part of ONF’s Front Porch Session series. Music starts at around 6:30 p.m. Also in free tunes, you could check out singer Riley McGill at Fayetteville Beer Works on Saturday.
Speaking of brews, there are not one but two beer-related festivals happening in NWA this weekend, with The Great Southern Beer Festival happening in Springdale on Saturday, and the UA’s Brew Pig Sooie beer event at Baum Walker Stadium on Sunday.
