Longtime Tyson executive Joe Lloyd III has been tabbed to lead the Jones Center for Families.

Lloyd this was week named the new CEO for the organization by the center’s board of directors, replacing former CEO Terry Trotter who resigned in November.

Lloyd will be tasked with completing the completion of the transformation of the Springdale campus that began in 2020 with a Design Excellence Grant awarded to the organization by the Walton Family Foundation. The center has been working on a Campus Vision Master Plan since then.

“The Jones Center is one of the great pillars of Northwest Arkansas and I am honored to carry on the Jones’ vision for these facilities,” Lloyd said in a press release issued this week. “Our staff and board are committed to amplifying Bernice’s legacy as we cultivate a dynamic, regional institution serving the current and future needs of our community. We have an exciting challenge ahead of us!”

Lloyd has worked in IT, compliance, global communications and quality assurance in his various roles at Tyson Foods. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the United Way of Northwest Arkansas and the Downtown Springdale Alliance. He graduated from the UA, and also served as a U.S. Air Force cadet commander in the ROTC.
