Walker Park Splash Pad to reopen May 11

File photo

The weather is getting warmer, and that means it’s time for some of the ways we have to cool off in this city to reopen to the public.

The Walker Park splash pad, located near the north end of the park, is set to open for the season on Saturday, May 11.

The splash pad includes floor geysers, colorful interactive above-ground spray features, and a large dump bucket that empties periodically to cool off park patrons.

It’s free to enjoy, and will remain open through Sept. 15.

The feature is open daily from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
