Hogs Guy Predicts: Arkansas at Auburn

Congrats to Sanford for winning the pickem’ contest. Thanks to everyone who entered and best of luck next time!

Hey. I am Hogs Guy. and I L-O-V-E the Arkansas Razorbacks. If you ask me nicely, I’ll explain to you how much I’m in to the sports of collegiate football and how the Razorback football team is the best in the collegiate ranks because they’re well-beyond good and are some fun teams to watch them play on Saturdays. Name the last fun thing you did watch on a Saturday. If you can’t, the answer is Arkansas. If you can, the answer is Arkansas Razorbacks football team. Those are pretty much the same answers.

Moving on.

Last week in Dallas (in Texas), Arkansas had to get their defensive side of the football team to really play the game of college football better than the Texas A&Ms offensive side of the football. And they did! The final score of the match was 24-17, Hogs won. Now a lot of folks are saying that there’s something wrong with Ryan Malletts and the offense team. It’s my thought that head coach Bobby Petrino was doing a fools-lead mixed with a pro-run game effort.

Good question. Why do a game of fools-lead? The answer is big and complex — because we have a contest against Auburns this week.

The Auburn Tiger-man team has won a lot of all their games this year and is ranked #1 in the 7th part of the country. That’s a tough rank. Especially when you think about how and when they beat some South Carolina Gamecocks who also beat some Alabama Crimson Tides.

The Auburns are pretty good because they have two forces. One force is Gus Malzahn. Trivia, remember him? I do because he used to coach at Arkansas Razorbacks. Gus knows a lot about offensive games and plays. Force two is Camera Newton. Trivia, remember him? Probably not because he was a backer-bench player for Tim Tebows. It doesn’t matter in the long run because he’s a fast runner, a tricky shifter and a passer. All three at once. Many teams have been doomed in the past because of him. The Arkansas Razorbacks will have to make him be more like Ryan Mallett and pass the football in the air if they want to win a game against him.

A good news note is that the Auburns defense isn’t that wonderful. They let the Kentuckys score 34 points on them. And the Kentuckys is better at basketball games than the football ones. That’s a joke, if you think about it.

And if you’re wanting to take me on in a bet, you can. I think this is how the game will turn out – Arkansas Razorbacks 35, Auburns 31. If you think you can beat me, first off, you can’t. Get a life. Second off, tell me YOUR score guess below. I’d say good luck, but you’ve already lost. And don’t even think about guessing AGAINST the Hogs. If you do, I wish you wouldn’t do so because a siren will alarm you scare into fits of insanity.

I’m Hogs Guy. Bye.
