The Walton Arts Center’s board of directors discussed possible locations for a downtown parking deck. The group has yet to zero in on a specific site preference.

Fayetteville Roots Festival officials are looking to expand the event’s presence at the Fayetteville Farmers’ Market this year.

Arkansas Razorback Fan Day is set for Saturday, Aug. 18 at Bud Walton Arena. There’s a scrimmage later that day, too.

Speaking of the Razorbacks, the 2012 football team’s fall practice schedule was released last week.

Friday is the deadline to apply for the open seat on the Fayetteville Advertising and Promotion Commission. The group is seeking a new member to fill an unexpired term which expires April 1, 2014.
