The group working to bring professional soccer to Northwest Arkansas has hired an advertising agency to help develop the club’s brand identity.

USL Arkansas last week announced it has selected Little Rock-based Stone Ward as its branding partner. The agency also has offices in Rogers and Chicago.

Stone Ward has partnered with national and international soccer brands including U.S. Soccer, the National Women’s Soccer League, Copa America and Como 1907.

With a naming suggestion campaign already underway, USL Arkansas and Stone Ward will gather more community input before launching the official team name, crest and colors in the coming months, according to a news release. The club has already received over 1,200 name ideas, officials said.

“Selecting Stone Ward as our partner was a natural choice for USL Arkansas,” said Chris Martinovic, co-founder of USL Arkansas. “They have a sincere passion for what we’re doing here.”

USL Arkansas this month unveiled the preliminary renderings of the club’s new stadium that’s set for construction near the corner of Lazy L Street and Bellview Road, near the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers. The facility will include room for 5,000 seats and will be designed to be expanded as needed in the future.
