Town Branch Trail at Beechwood Avenue (Google)A section of the Town Branch Trail will be closed starting on Monday, April 29, as part of a construction project for the 15th Street-Interstate 49 overpass in Fayetteville.
A three-quarter mile stretch of the trail from Best Way Street to Beechwood Avenue is expected to be closed until July, according to a news release from the city.
A detour will take trail traffic along sidewalks along Hollywood Avenue, back to 15th Street, and then south to Beechwood Avenue to rejoin the trail. The trail will be detoured while crews install water and sewer lines and work to remove vegetation.
Detour signs will be installed to direct trail traffic and provide warning of adjacent work areas, the release states. Walkers, runners and cyclists are asked to observe detour and other signs on trails and provide adequate distance between themselves and construction work.
