Walton Arts Center officials asked the Fayetteville City Council for funds to assist in expanding its programming as members of the council toured the arts center Monday afternoon.

Special election set for May 18

A ballot measure to add park maintenance to the possible uses of the Hotel-Motel-Restaurant (HMR) tax will reach voters on May 18, the same day as the primary elections.

Walton Arts Center’s Artosphere festival website launched

Two weeks ago, Walton Arts Center announced plans for a new regional arts and nature festival. The festival’s website went live yesterday.

Trash collection resumes today

All residential waste and recycling collections will occur one day later than normal this week. Residents are encouraged to leave their trash carts and recycling bins at the curb until they can be serviced.

Arkansas won it’s first SEC road game in more than two years Sunday night, with a 80-73 victory over the 18th ranked and SEC West leading Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford.
